Want to have fun and learn how to catch fish?

Call the fish caddies.

We take anyone from beginners to expert anglers, even the handicapped, and teach them how to catch fish in Fresh and Saltwater. We specialize in fly fishing but also fish with conventional tackle. We can teach you about the equipment, knots, the flies, lures or bait, the species of fish, and "everything you always wanted to know about fishing", but had no one to ask. Most of our fishing is catch and release,( we will photograph your trophy), however we do, at times keep some fish to eat and, we can clean your catch.

In Houston we catch  Large Mouth and White Bass, Bream, Crappie, Catfish, Carp, and Rainbow Trout (seasonal).

Along the Texas Gulf Coast we catch Trout (specs), Redfish (Reds), and Flounder.

Go with one of our land captains and you might catch anything. Ask about "Bayou Bassin".

Go Offshore Galveston in a 23  foot Robalo with Captain Steve Kraft and catch Red snapper, Jacks, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Shark, Ling, Cobia, and Tarpon. Enjoy a day bay fishing along the Galveston coastal waters and catch Speckled Trout, Black Drum, Red Drum, Flounder, or Spanish Mackerel (seasonal).

Captain Steve Kraft of www.kraftyanglers.com is the best skipper I have ever had the pleasure to fish with. He knows the bay system and offshore fishing like the back of his hand. He has a 23 foot Robalo and all the equipment and tackle you might need, for bay or offshore fishing (or bring your lucky rod and your own tackle box ).  I have fished with him many times each year for the last 11 years and have never been skunked. The last trip I caught a limit of the biggest trout I have ever caught, then released about 20 others. The last time offshore I got a 58 inch king and so many more I was sore the next day. You may reach Captain Steve at irakraft@juno.com or

Jim Collins, Well what can I say? Jim could be called an expert fisherman, I would have to call him a catcher man. I have seen Jim pull the biggest stringer of fish, most fish, and first fish many times in our tournaments. If you fish conventional tackle or fly tackle fresh or salt water, call Jim. Wade fishing is Jims favorite. The last time I went to Freeport with him I landed and released the biggest redfish I have ever caught. Jim knows the water from Galveston, south to Rockport and beyond and many of Texas's freshwater lakes and ponds. You may see Jim catch fish in the big bass tank at Bass Pro Shops in Houston. Or  Call 713-504-7661

Brian Handlin of the "BIG B" guide service has been working in Florida as a guide for years where he also ran a fly shop. He is in Houston now and fishes all along the coast and around the Houston area. Brian is an expert fly fisher and one of the finest fly tiers I have seen. You may have seen his flies on Mark Sosin's fishing show, Salt Water Journal. He is the manager of the White River fly shop at Bass Pro Shops in Houston.

Bill Speer is The Fishing Coach. You may have seen him at Bass Pro Shops. Or on top of the big tank there. Or on one of the many Texas Lakes he guides on. Or fishing in a Bass fishing Tournament. No matter where you see him, he will have a bass on, or a great fish story to tell. If you want to catch a bass, advanced, intermediate, novice, or kids call the Fishing Coach.

Charlie Stevens is a fly fishing guide who fishes most of the year down south and Alaska in the summer. He is guiding and instructing all along the coast and particularly likes Rock port and on south to Brownsville. As a fly tier he is awesome. He tied the cutest little deer hair mouse I have ever had in my fly box. He teaches fly tying and fly casting clinics for Bass Pro Shops, and guides fresh and salt water fly fishing all over Texas. He enjoys ultra light tackle and sometimes uses a 2 Wt. rod.

Curtis Luchak is a true outdoorsman. Whether hunting or fishing Curtis is the guide to call. Curtis has a 25 foot Ranger boat with twin mercury 250hp and fishes out of Freeport, Galveston and Texas City. He also goes offshore out of Freeport but if it is too rough, he knows bay areas and will put you on fish. The last time I went out with him I hooked the biggest flounder I ever saw and on a fly. Curtis specializes in bait and lure fishing, offshore and in the bays. He is also a great hunting guide.
